Dr. Ash

Veterinarian & Founder

Dr. Ash

Dr. Ash earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2007 after completing a rigorous six-year veterinary program. He began his career working with both small and large animals, gaining extensive clinical experience and strong skills in laboratory diagnostics.

Before relocating to the United States, Dr. Ash successfully founded and managed a private veterinary practice in Morocco. After meeting all licensure requirements and passing the board examinations established by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), he became fully licensed to practice in the U.S. in 2016. He currently holds veterinary licenses in both California and Massachusetts and is USDA-certified.

With two decades of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Ash practiced small animal medicine in California for eight years before moving to Massachusetts, where he has continued to serve the community for the past four years. Prior to opening FirstLine Animal Hospital, he held the role of Hospital Medical Leader at a veterinary hospital in Massachusetts.

Dr. Ash’s professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, and the comprehensive care of senior pets. Known for his compassionate and detail-oriented approach, he is deeply committed to providing exceptional care and building trusting, long-term relationships with pets and their families.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Ash enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and making memories with his wife and two young children. He’s also an avid soccer fan and loves playing the sport whenever he can.

Sahymi

Hospital Manager

Sahymi

Sahymi has been part of the veterinary field since 2016, starting her career as a receptionist with no prior experience and quickly discovering a deep passion for animal care. Her dedication and drive led her to advance from receptionist to lead veterinary technician, and now to her current role as Practice Manager.

She has a strong interest in client education and believes that empowering pet owners with knowledge leads to healthier, happier pets. Sahymi especially enjoys performing dental cleanings and providing attentive care to patients under anesthesia. Her gentle, compassionate approach helps even the most timid pets feel safe and comfortable during their visits.

Sahymi has a soft spot for small and senior dogs and dreams of one day sharing her home with an Irish Wolfhound — despite the extra work (and fur) that comes with it.

Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, cosplaying, and spending time “living her best life” with the people she loves.

Paige

Veterinary Assistant

Paige

Paige graduated from New England Institute of Technology with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. She has had a deep passion for animals since she was just a little girl, and becoming a veterinary technician has been a lifelong dream.

Paige is also Fear Free Certified, allowing her to provide gentle, low-stress care that helps every patient feel safe and understood. Her greatest joy comes from being a voice for the voiceless. She finds true happiness in providing comfort and compassion, especially to those in pain or distress.

When not in the clinic, you can find Paige spending time with her family, fishing, cheering on the Bruins, or playing with her dog and three cats!

Tiarra

Veterinary Assistant

Tiarra

Tiarra has been in the field for 5 years, she is passionate about helping animals feel safe, healthy, and cared for. Whether it’s comforting a nervous pet, assisting during surgery, or helping an owner understand how to care for their animal at home, she loves being a part of a team that makes a real difference. Every day brings something new and she enjoys learning from each experience. For her, being a vet assistant isn’t just a job; it’s a way to combine compassion, science and purpose all in one.

When not in scrubs, you can usually find her outdoors, spending time with her pets and with family. Tiarra is someone who enjoys quiet moments just as much as good conversations, and believes in taking time to recharge so she can bring her best energy to everything she does at work and in life.
